🌏 - Hello everyone,
I’m Hallane Cunha, I’m 29 years old and I'm an intellectual property lawyer. Recently, I was on vacation in Thailand and it was really amazing! I loved Thailand. I had incredible experiences that I would like to share with you.

First, I visited the most beautiful temple I have ever seen in my life, called “White temple” in Chiang Rai (North Thailand). This temple is literally all white and has an amazing view.
One important thing about visiting temples in Thailand is that it's necessary to always cover the shoulders and the knees. It's a sign of respect.

One of the most fantastic experiences I’ve ever had was visiting an elephant sanctuary in a city called “Kanchanaburi”. They have a total of 15 elephants, 2 males and 13 females. During the tour, we were able to feed the elephants, cover them in mud (which acts as a kind of "sunscreen"), and then wash them in the river. It was a unique experience and the first time I was close to and touched elephants.

In another city, we stayed in a hotel on the river. It was also a different experience because we even arrived at the hotel by boat. We did an activity where we wore life jackets and then jumped into the river, floating along with the current. It was so much fun.
Later, we went to an island called “Koh Kood”.

This island is not very touristy, which made us love it even more. Since it’s not famous, we could enjoy the island without crowds of tourists. The seawater is warm and extremely crystal clear. So, if you’re thinking of visiting Thailand and prefer a quieter place without too many tourists but with equally stunning landscapes, Koh Kood is a great option.

For the last three days of the trip, we went to Bangkok (the capital), a “city that never sleeps”. The traffic is chaotic, and people prefer to get around on motorcycles. I saw a little bit of everything: street food markets, fairs, huge and uniquely designed buildings. Additionally, Bangkok has a massive market inside a shopping center called “MBK”. It has stores selling EVERYTHING.

But what caught my attention, as an intellectual property lawyer, was the fact that thousands of branded products are sold there at much lower prices. To give you an idea, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Chanel bags were being sold for around 80 to 100 euros. Most likely, all counterfeit products.
Note: “Counterfeiting is the illegal copying of a product or work protected by copyright or Industrial property rights”.
It’s truly shocking how people don’t care much and buy them by the dozens…
Honestly, If I can’t buy an original Chanel bag, I simply won’t buy a fake one, and I hope people become more swore that this issue is a crime. Attention: In France, for example, people have been caught at the airport with counterfeit luxury bags and faced heavy fines. So, be careful.
Finally, I recommend visiting Thailand and discovering all the charms and peculiarities of this lovely country. And last but not least, my listening and speaking skills improved and it was great to be able to understand the explanations and communicate in English on my own during this trip. I realized how much the course has really helped me and I’m very grateful.
